WHO IS A LADY?
A lady is a polite or formal way of referring to a woman, a woman of good social position. According to these simple definitions, a lady is the epitome of womanhood. a lady is someone who makes everyone around her feel loved and respected no matter where she is. (1 Timothy 4:12) Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity).
  A lady is a someone who brings souls to GOD rather than take them away from GOD. A lot of girls who addresses themselves or see themselves as a Lady cannot define their main potentials as a LADY they just want to be called LADIES without knowing what it takes to be Lady.
QUALITIES OF LADY
1. Femininity is the number one thing that makes a lady. The fact that you are a female, and all other things that come together to form the female body is found on you and makes you a lady. So don't underestimate your body because it makes you the unique lady you are.
And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman." (Genesis 2:21-22)
2. Classiness is the next thing. Being elegant in all aspect of your life makes you a lady. For instance, your way of dressing, walking, talking, etc, are what makes you lady the lady we see. (Proverbs 31:25  Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future.)
3. Having self confidence and the boldness to do things also makes one a lady. In my opinion facing realities boldly and confidently, makes one the lady I talk about.
Psalm 56:3  When I am afraid, I put my trust in you
4. Having a good personal hygiene behavior is another thing that makes a lady who she is. With all the above mentioned attributes, without a good personal hygiene, like well kept hair, nails, good breath, clean teeth, neat house etc, one cannot be a complete lady.
Matthew 23:25-26 "How terrible it will be for you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but on the inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
5. A lady should be submissive and of substance. In all ways, a lady must be submissive not to only a man but to her fellow ladies and even to children. That brings to light the quality that shows that one is a complete lady.
Ephesians 5:21 - Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

 CHARACTERISTICS OF A LADY

1. She draws boundaries. Being kind doesn’t mean you are a people pleaser. A lady has boundaries in place regarding what she will and will not allow and people know where the line is drawn usually without her saying anything.
2.  She is a leader: A lady sets the precedent in any given situation. She knows that she has influence and uses it to lead people to good.
3. She is original. She has role-models and mentors, but she never copies or compares. A lady knows that being inspired by God will lend to longevity and passion.
4. She is humble. A lady gracefully allows others to shine and have their moments.
5.  She promotes moral excellence: A lady does the right thing even when no one else is looking. She takes the time to find a trash can rather than leaving it on the sidewalk.
6. She is kind. A lady is inclusive, always aiming to protect anyone from feeling like an “outsider.”
7. She uses her words wisely. A lady refrains from gossip and negative talk, remembering that her words are the reflection of the content in her heart.
8. She is always learning and remains teachable. A lady is constantly growing, is thirsty for wisdom and is never a “know it all.”
9. She is a generous listener. A lady listens to others with grace and does not attempt to overshadow the speaker with comments like, “Oh I’ve done that too” or “I already knew that” “I’ve been there before, you’re not telling me anything new!”
10. She is a peace-maker. A lady doesn’t contribute to dissension, discord or division among friends. She does not stir up drama. She is a vessel of mediation and peace.
11. She is noble. A lady does the good thing even when it is not expected of her. For example, she blesses someone’s reputation who has attempted to curse hers.
12. She is a seeker of truth: A lady is not spineless. She defends the truth even when it isn’t popular.
13. She has a heart for justice: A lady has a strong sense of right and wrong and is passionate to see the oppressed redeemed.
14. She believes in her Creator. A lady knows that her identity is rooted in her Maker. Her strength and vision come from daily prayer.
Ladies is time to examine yourselves. all this qualities mentioned above, can they be found in you?  you are fearfully and wonderfully made be a blessing to your generation.
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
 
We all have an important role in life to play, why not be an impact to someone’s life rather than be a curse to them.

SEXUAL ABUSE

I THOUGHT IT WAS MY FAULT My father used to touch me in a horrible way when mum was at work at night. I was 10 years old when it started. I felt so sick when I knew it was a night that mum had to work, worrying about what would happen. I was tens and stressing out all the time. I was scared to tell anyone, I thought it was my fault too because I didn’t stop it. He used to say I shouldn’t tell anyone and that mum would kick me out if she found out. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want anyone at school finding out, because I felt like they all look down on me. This has been going on for the last four (4) years. This year we had a health class, and someone came to our school to talk about abuse. I knew that what they were talking about was what was happening to me. At the end of the class I just sat there when the bell rang, I felt like my head was about to explode.  The teacher asked me if I was okay. I avoided the question for a while, but now it must have shown on my face.
